On Monday, August 25, 2025, Prof. Tarek Mostafa Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, received a delegation from the Central Unit for IT Training at the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU). The visit came as part of the university’s preparations to host the 19th Executive Committee Meeting for IT Training, scheduled to be held at the University Performance Development Center at Mansoura University.

The visit was held under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and in coordination with the University Performance Development Center, to discuss the latest updates related to the Fundamentals of Digital Transformation Certificate (FDTC) in Egyptian universities, as it represents one of the key pillars in advancing higher education and supporting digital transformation in academic institutions.

During the meeting, Prof.  Tarek Mostafa Ghalwash expressed Mansoura University’s pride in hosting members of the Executive Committee for IT Training, directors of faculty and staff development centers, and digital training centers at public and national universities, as well as representatives from governorate directorates. He affirmed the university’s full commitment to implementing the SCU’s decisions, which stipulate that the Digital Transformation Fundamentals Certificate is a prerequisite for obtaining Master’s, PhD, and Diploma degrees, as well as a requirement for academic promotion.

Prof. Mohamed Hassan, Director of the Central Unit for IT Training at the Supreme Council of Universities, praised the efforts of the University Performance Development Center at Mansoura University in organizing training courses and conducting digital exams efficiently. He extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the university for hosting the 19th Executive Committee Meeting.

This meeting follows a preparatory session previously hosted by the University Performance Development Center at Mansoura University, with the participation of Mansoura, Damietta, and Kafrelsheikh Universities, which discussed the main challenges facing accredited centers, along with proposals to enhance training mechanisms in preparation for the upcoming executive meeting.

The meeting was attended by Prof.  Mohamed El-Alfy, Director of the University Performance Development Center; Dr. Samah El-Said, Deputy Director; Prof.  Mohamed Hassan, Director of the Central Unit for IT Training at the SCU; Ms. Hoda El-Sayed, Electronic Exams Coordinator; and Eng. Israa Ahmed Ismail, Systems Engineer at the unit.
